Day 1 — Arrive Zhangjiajie: a soft landing & welcome toast
Met at arrivals with a name board and a smooth private transfer — no taxi queue, no stress. We keep day one deliberately easy so you can settle in and breathe the cooler mountain air. Check into your comfortable retreat near the National Forest Park, then an unhurried welcome dinner with a quiet toast to the two of you, and an early night before the mountains.
Day 2 — The real Avatar mountains, just the two of you
Up the Bailong Elevator — a glass lift bolted to a 326m cliff — into the world of floating quartz-sandstone pillars that inspired the Hallelujah Mountains in Avatar. Your guide times Yuanjiajie and the ‘Avatar Hallelujah’ pillar to dodge the crowds, then leads you to quieter, hideaway lookouts most visitors never find — space to simply stand together and take it in. Day 3 — Tianzi Mountain sunrise & the sea of clouds

Day 5 — Tianmen Mountain & a candlelit dinner above the canyon
One of the world’s longest passenger cable cars glides up from the city to the mid-mountain station, from where the scenic shuttle road up the famous 99-bend Avenue and step-free tunnel escalators bring you to Heaven’s Gate, the vast natural arch through the mountain. The glass skywalks are entirely optional, with solid-floor paths alongside. As the day softens, your guide arranges a private candlelit dinner with a view — just the two of you, good food, and the mountains going gold at dusk.
Day 6 — To Fenghuang: the lantern-lit town & a private river boat
A scenic private drive to Fenghuang, one of China’s most romantic riverside towns. Settle into a riverside room, then as the lanterns come on, a private evening boat along the Tuojiang River — stilt houses, red lanterns and the Rainbow Bridge all glowing and mirrored in the water. A slow walk through the old lanes afterwards, hand in hand, with a quiet drink overlooking the river.
Day 7 — A relaxed Fenghuang morning & a fond farewell
No early scramble.
