How to read the map
- Five ticket gates: East (Wujiayu / Wulingyuan Landmark Gate), South (Forest Park), West (Yangjiajie), North (Tianzishan) and Middle (Zimugang). Every entry is booked for a specific gate and time slot.
- Line A and Line B at the East Gate: your ticket line decides which way you go up. Line A goes up by the Tianzi cable car and comes down by the Bailong Elevator; Line B is the reverse. The line is your route only: the cable car and the Bailong Elevator are paid separately. If you booked the wrong line, change it online in advance. At the gate there is often no availability left to switch. Our Zhangjiajie ticket rules page explains the 4-day pass, time slots and re-entry in detail.
- The walk at the top of the Bailong Elevator: the eco-bus stop is about 1.1 km on foot from the elevator exit. Allow time for it.
- Yangjiajie cable car top: the eco-bus stop (Wulong Village) is about 0.9 km on foot from the cable car station. Plan the same buffer as at Bailong.
- Golden Whip Stream is a flat valley trail from Oxygen Bar Square (about 5 minutes on foot from the South Gate) to Shuiraosimen: about 6.5 km, 2–3 hours.
- Huangshizhai: from the South Gate it is about a 5-minute walk to Oxygen Bar Square. The front stone steps start there (about 3.2 km, 4,588 steps), or take the short eco-bus ride on to the Huangshizhai cable car.
- Trails that are open: the green lines are the trails open in September 2026, including Yaozizhai, the Luancuanpo steps and the two walks down from Tianzi Mountain. Distances, times and what to bring are in our Zhangjiajie hiking guide.
Before you go
- One park ticket is valid for four consecutive days, counted from your first entry.
- You enter by scanning your passport. Children under 14 enter free on their own passport.
- Every ticket gate has luggage storage.
- The park ticket and the eco-bus pass are usually sold together and cover four days; the cable cars and the Bailong Elevator are paid separately. Last runs depend on the day’s crowds, so plan to come down early.
- Ordinary rain or mist does not stop the cable cars or the elevator unless the park issues a specific notice.
