Short answer: We are a licensed travel company based in Zhangjiajie and we assign guides by the day. A licensed English-speaking guide costs CNY 600 per day for a group of 1 to 4 people, up to 8 hours. A private car with driver is added on top, priced by vehicle size. Park tickets, cable cars and the Bailong Elevator are paid at the official counter price and bought for you by the guide. Send us your dates and group size on WhatsApp and you will have a plan and a total the same day.
What a guided day looks like
Your guide meets you at your hotel door in Wulingyuan town or Zhangjiajie city at the time you agreed the night before. The day’s park reservation and cable-car plan are already in hand. In Zhangjiajie National Forest Park you go up the Bailong Elevator before the queue builds, walk the clifftop viewpoints at your own pace, ride the eco-bus between areas, and eat lunch at a local restaurant, not a shopping stop. You are back at the hotel by late afternoon, or earlier if you have had enough.

Prices are for Zhangjiajie city and the Wulingyuan area in 2026, charged per group and per day, not per person. Multi-day bookings get a better rate; we quote it when you give us the dates.
What is included, and what is not
Included: the guide for the full day; route planning on WhatsApp before you arrive; booking your real-name park tickets and time slots; restaurant suggestions and reservations; help at the photo spots the guide knows; a female guide on request.
Not included: park entrance tickets, cable cars, the Bailong Elevator and the Ten-Mile Gallery train, which the guide buys for you at the official price; meals; hotels; show tickets.
Who your guide is
Our guides are Zhangjiajie locals, licensed with the Chinese tourism authority, and they guide in English. Guests who have written to us have named Yu, Xie, Alice and Maomao. How to book in three steps
- Send your dates, group size and where you are staying.
- The same day you get a route for each day and a total price.
- Pay a 20% deposit to hold the guide; the balance is paid after you arrive in China and sign your tour contract. The deposit goes to the licensed operator, Hunan Garden International Travel Service Co., Ltd., licence L-HUN-304201.
Frequently asked questions
Is the price per person or per group?
Per group. One guide for 1 to 4 people costs CNY 600 a day whether you are one person or four.
Can the guide buy park tickets for us?
Yes. Zhangjiajie tickets are real-name and tied to your passport, and many sales channels do not accept foreign passports. Your guide books them in advance and you pay the official counter price.
Do you offer a discount for several days?
Yes. Tell us how many days you need and we include the multi-day rate in the quote.
What happens if it rains?
The park stays open in rain, and the eco-buses, cable cars and the Bailong Elevator keep running unless the park announces otherwise. Your guide reorders the day so the viewpoints come when visibility is clearest, and swaps in Yellow Dragon Cave or a Baofeng Lake boat trip if the mountains are in cloud all day.
Can I book a driver only, without a guide?
Yes. A car with driver is priced by vehicle size; the driver does not speak English, so this suits travellers who have been to the park before or who are happy with translation apps.
