By Air (Recommended)
Direct flights from Xi’an Xianyang International Airport to Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport (DYG) take only about 1.5 hours, making flying the clear first choice for this popular route.
By High-Speed Train
Since 2025 there is also a direct high-speed train from Xi’an to Zhangjiajie West Railway Station, taking about 9.5 hours with one departure a day (second class around 683 RMB, first class around 1,094 RMB). Given the length, most travellers prefer to fly.
